By accessing or using Chatalix (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Chatalix. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Chatalix is an interest-based chat platform that enables users to connect with others based on shared interests. The Service includes free features and optional premium subscription plans with enhanced functionality.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using Chatalix, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. User Accounts

• You may use the Service anonymously or create a registered account with email and password
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• Anonymous accounts may have limited features and may be subject to automatic cleanup

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post or share content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Engage in hate speech, discrimination, or promote violence
• Share explicit, obscene, or inappropriate content

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

6. Premium Subscriptions

• Chatalix offers optional paid subscription plans ("Premium") with enhanced features
• Premium subscriptions are billed according to the plan selected (weekly, monthly, or annual)
• Payments are processed securely through our payment provider (Razorpay)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Pricing and features may change; existing subscribers will be notified of material changes
• Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy

7. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting support or through account settings
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Chatalix and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written consent.

You retain ownership of content you create. By posting content on Chatalix, you grant us a limited license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

We are not responsible for the conduct of other users or the content they share. Use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHATALIX AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chatalix, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally before pursuing legal action.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
